Nylon Webbing Dog Leash with Padded Handle

Woven nylon leash with a neoprene-padded handle and a trigger hook. Webbing width is specified per size rather than per style, so you can run a range of lengths on the same webbing width and consolidate the material minimum across the whole run.

The specification that matters

Three things decide whether a leash holds up, and all three should be written into the order rather than assumed:

  • Webbing width and tensile strength, with the test method stated. A 19 mm webbing is the common width for general use; 25 mm is what you want for a heavy dog.
  • Stitch pattern at the handle junction. A bartack or box-X reinforcement, not a decorative single row. This is the failure point that causes a handle to separate under load.
  • Hardware pull-out force from the webbing loop. A plated hook that pulls free is the other common failure, and it is not visible in a photograph.

Reflective performance

Reflective webbing and reflective print are different products with very different performance. Specify which one you are buying. Reflective yarn has a measurable retroreflection value; reflective print is decorative and will disappoint in service. We state which one is used on every quotation.

MOQ and colour

MOQ is 500 pieces for a standard width in a stock colour. A custom dye lot needs roughly 1,000 metres per colour and colour per width, which raises the practical minimum to about 2,000 pieces. Using a stock mill colour removes both the minimum and roughly three weeks of lead time.

Leashes are light and pack densely, which makes them an efficient use of the space left over after heavier goods such as bowls and wire crates have been loaded. That is why they appear in most consolidated orders.

Frequently asked questions

Can you make matching collars and harnesses from the same webbing?

Yes, and it is worth doing. Running collars and harnesses on the same webbing lot means one dye lot covers the whole range, which lowers the material minimum across all three SKUs rather than paying it three times.

What is the difference between MOQ and stock colour MOQ?

Stock colour uses webbing the mill already holds, so you can start at 500 pieces and often ship within two weeks. A custom colour requires a new dye lot, which raises the minimum to roughly 2,000 pieces and adds two to three weeks.

Do you supply spare hooks?

Yes. Replacement hardware can be sourced separately and is a useful low-cost add-on, since a damaged hook on an otherwise good leash is the usual reason a customer comes back.
