Contact PetWharf | Request a Pet Product Quote

The fastest way to get a useful answer is to give us three things: what the product is, roughly how much you need, and which country the goods will be imported into.

What to include in your inquiry

  • The product. A name plus whatever you know — material, size, capacity, the feature that matters. If you have a photo or a specification sheet, send it. If you have seen a product you want matched, describe the part you want reproduced rather than expecting us to guess from a brand name.
  • The quantity. An approximate figure is enough to start. If you do not know yet, say so and give the target: full container, shared load, or a trial.
  • The destination market. Country, not region. This determines the compliance requirements and the freight route, and it changes the answer materially.
  • Anything already decided. Neutral packaging or your own branding, whether you have artwork, whether you need a specific certification, and any delivery date you are working back from.

What you will get back

Usually within two working days: an indicative unit price with the goods value, service fee and freight shown separately; the realistic MOQ; a lead time broken into its components; a note on what compliance documentation applies to that product in that market; and any questions we need answered before the quotation becomes firm.

What you will not get back

A price that is not real. If we cannot meet your specification at your quantity, we will say so and explain what would have to change. If we think a category is a poor fit for you, we will tell you that too. A number you cannot ship is worth less than an honest answer.

How to reach us

Use the enquiry form on this page. It reaches the sourcing desk directly, and it carries the details you type into the message body so you do not have to repeat yourself in a second email.

For existing buyers with an order in progress, the contact details in your order documentation reach the person handling that order directly, which is faster than the general enquiry route.

Before you write

Two things save a round of questions. First, if you are new to importing pet products, read the category pages for the product you are interested in — they cover MOQ ranges, the certifications that apply and the common mistakes in that specific category. Second, read the sourcing service page, which explains how the process works end to end, including the stages that take longer than most buyers expect.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly will I get a reply?

Within two working days for an initial indication. A firm quotation can take longer, because it depends on production scheduling and freight availability, and we will tell you when we expect to have it rather than leaving you waiting.

Do I need to give you exact dimensions?

Not for an initial reply. An approximate specification is enough to establish whether the product is workable and what the ballpark is. For a firm price we will need precise specifications, and we will ask for them.

Can you quote without knowing my target market?

I can give an indicative goods price, but a meaningful landed quote needs the destination, because freight, duty treatment and compliance all follow from it. If you are still deciding, tell me the shortlist and I will show you the differences.

What if I only want one product to start?

That is a normal way to begin, and for standard catalogue items in small quantities it is often the most sensible first step. Tell us the product and quantity and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth a container or whether it is more economical to combine it with something else.

Do you charge for the initial enquiry?

No. Enquiries and indicative quotations are free. The service fee applies once an order is placed, and it is stated separately in the quotation so there is no ambiguity about what it covers.

Can you sign an NDA before we discuss details?

Yes. We are happy to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before discussing your product plans, volumes or artwork. Tell us the form you need and how it should be returned.

What languages do you work in?

English and Chinese. Most of our documentation is issued in English, with Chinese versions available where a destination market or a freight forwarder requires them.

What happens after you write

Every inquiry gets a reply within two working days, and the reply is written for your specific product rather than being a general capability statement. It contains:

  • An indicative price with the goods value, service fee and freight shown separately, so you can see the loading of each and still influence the part you can influence.
  • The realistic MOQ for your product, and whether consolidation can bring the effective minimum down to something that makes commercial sense.
  • A lead time broken into components — production, inspection, consolidation, documentation and transit — so you can see which parts are compressible and which are not.
  • The compliance position for your product in your destination market, and how long testing takes if testing is required.
  • Any questions we need answered before the quotation can become firm. Usually two or three, usually about specification details.

What we need from you, and what we can work without

The useful inquiry contains three things: what the product is, roughly how much you need, and which country the goods will be imported into. If you have a specification sheet, a photograph, or a sample you want matched, send it. If you know your packaging requirement, your target cost per unit, or the date you need the goods on a shelf, send that too — it changes what we can recommend.

What we can work without, for a first exchange, is precision. A rough description and an approximate quantity is enough for us to establish whether the product is workable in your market and to give you a realistic ballpark. We will ask for exact specifications before quoting a firm price, and we will tell you which details matter most for your specific product.

What if you are not ready to order

Plenty of inquiries are exploratory, and that is a reasonable use of your time. Ask us the questions you need answered — about MOQ, about compliance in a specific market, about how a category is produced, about what a landed cost actually consists of. We would rather answer properly than use the inquiry as a sales opportunity.

If a category turns out to be a poor fit for you, or a market requirement makes it impractical at your volume, we will say so. There is no point spending three months on a product specification that was never going to ship.

What happens with your details

Your inquiry and the specification you send are used to quote and to plan the order. They are not used for anything else, and they are not shared outside the process except with the factories that need to quote against them — which is limited to the ones matching your specification. If you would like a mutual non-disclosure agreement in place before we discuss specifics, tell us the form you need and we will sign it and return it.
